A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs and the Educational Student Loan Fund to enhance collaboration in the field of education and employment. The agreement was formalised by Elnur Safarli, Chairman of the National Observatory, and Araz Pashayev, Chairperson of the Educational Student Loan Fund.
Under the terms of the memorandum, the National Observatory will analyse key areas such as employment trends in the labour market, the demand for priority occupations and qualifications, and the skills required for these roles. Additionally, it will assess the employment outcomes of graduates who have benefited from educational student loans, aiming to improve the alignment between education and labour market needs.
Pashayev emphasised the importance of the partnership, noting that it would help identify priority occupations, organise training for in-demand specialities, and conduct surveys among parents of students who have taken educational loans. The cooperation will also focus on evaluating the effectiveness of the student loan system.
The MoU outlines joint efforts to conduct research on expanding access to education for students from socially vulnerable backgrounds. The two institutions will also collaborate on preparing projections for labour market needs, taking into account both quantitative and qualitative factors, and ensuring regular public updates on these issues.
