A delegation led by Elif Gökçearslan, the Head of the Labour and Social Security Training and Research Centre (ÇASGEM) under Türkiye’s Ministry of Labour and Social Security, is on a visit to Baku to strengthen ties in the areas of labour, employment, and social protection.
During a meeting with the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, which operates under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, Elnur Safarli, the Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory, highlighted the growing cooperation between the two countries in these fields. Safarli emphasized that a recently signed agreement would open up new avenues for collaboration in training, analysis, and research.
Gökçearslan underlined the importance of expanding mutual cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two nations.
At the meeting, an Action Plan for cooperation was officially signed. The plan outlines the organization of joint training sessions on modern corporate management methods for the labour market and the promotion of healthy labour relations. It also includes provisions for conducting surveys, monitoring, and research in the areas of labour and social protection.
Additionally, the two sides agreed to collaborate on analysing the current state of informal employment, identifying its causes, and developing joint proposals to address these challenges.
