A meeting was held between Elnur Safarli, the Chairperson of the Board of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, and Ilgar Bayramli, the Director of the State Agency for Vocational Education under the Ministry of Science and Education.
During the meeting, E. Safarli provided detailed information on the Observatory’s activities, highlighting that the analytical data collected by the institution helps to identify the actual needs of the labour market and supports the effective design of state programmes aimed at developing human capital. He noted that strengthening the exchange of information and experience with the vocational education system is of strategic importance.
I. Bayramli, in turn, outlined the Agency’s main areas of activity, emphasising that identifying qualifications aligned with the modern labour market, improving the quality of vocational education, and ensuring graduates’ employment are among the Agency’s top priorities. He also stressed the importance of analytical labour market data and forecasts in achieving these goals.
The meeting included extensive discussions on the current cooperation between the two institutions and explored potential opportunities to further develop vocational education in line with labour market needs.
