The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, operating under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, has announced a new partnership with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, part of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
During a recent meeting, officials from both organizations outlined their key activities and discussed potential areas for collaboration. The National Observatory shared its role in conducting in-depth analyses and developing projections related to the labour market and social protection sectors, aimed at supporting evidence-based policymaking. The Observatory also contributes to the preparation of specialists and the development of training curricula, serving as a key training base for the Ministry.
Representatives from the Innovation and Digital Development Agency provided an overview of their work in advancing the ICT sector’s development and boosting the country’s digital competitiveness. They also highlighted their efforts to enhance access to training and career opportunities in the technology field.
The meeting included a presentation of the National Observatory’s recent study, "Analysis of Vacancy Announcements in the Labour Market in Azerbaijan," offering valuable insights into current employment trends. Both institutions agreed to explore opportunities for joint surveys and research to better assess the ICT labour market and identify regional gaps in specialist skills.
This partnership marks a significant step in aligning efforts to strengthen Azerbaijan’s labour market and foster innovation in the digital economy.
