The Baku visit of a delegation led by Elif Gokchearslan, Chairman of the Centre for Labour and Social Security Training and Research (ÇASGEM) under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Türkiye, is ongoing. The delegation’s schedule includes a series of informative sessions on the operations of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, which operates under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
During the visit, Hasil Abbasov, Deputy Chairman of the National Observatory, provided an overview of the institution's key divisions, including the Evaluation, Training and Development Centres, and the Analysis and Research Centre. Abbasov explained that the Evaluation Centre conducts exams to assess training needs, a critical step in identifying skills gaps.
At the Training and Development Centre, the delegation was given a tour of the facility’s training rooms and briefed on the variety of programs offered. The centre is dedicated to improving the knowledge and skills of employees by organizing tailored training sessions, courses, and conferences, and providing consultancy services designed to meet the specific development needs of individuals.
The delegation also met with the Observatory's professional team, who are engaged in analysis, research, surveys, and monitoring. The guests received detailed information on ongoing research projects, survey methodologies, and the technologies used to carry out these surveys.
Elif Gokchearslan expressed her admiration for the National Observatory’s work, emphasizing the value of the cooperation between the two institutions. She stated that the partnership would be mutually beneficial and contribute to the advancement of both organizations' goals in labour and social security research.
