The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, recently conducted a two-day training session on Social Journalism. The event, held at the Observatory’s Training and Development Centre, was attended by journalists from 10 different media outlets.
During the training, experts from various ministerial institutions provided in-depth insights into recent reforms in social protection. Topics covered included advancements in social security, the introduction of proactive services, and key terminology within the field. The session also allowed journalists to engage with the experts and ask questions to deepen their understanding of the issues.
To assess the participants' grasp of the training material, a workshop was held, during which attendees prepared press releases on key topics discussed.
The primary goal of the training was to enhance media representatives' awareness of social protection issues and to improve their journalistic skills in reporting on the sector. The session concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants, recognizing their efforts and newly acquired knowledge.
