A meeting was hosted at the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population with member companies of Caspian Energy Club, as part of the “DOST Müfəttiş” (DOST Inspector) project.
Among those in attendance were Elnur Safarli, Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory, Narmin Mirzayeva, Deputy Head of the State Labour Inspection Service under the Ministry, Telman Aliyev, Chairman of Caspian Energy Club and Group CEO, and representatives of the Club’s member companies.
E. Safarli outlined the objectives and scope of the “DOST Inspector” project, emphasising its role in ensuring transparency in the labour market. He highlighted that the initiative serves both an educational and supportive function for employers, while also contributing to the enforcement of labour legislation.
N. Mirzayeva described the project as an effective channel of communication between the State Labour Inspection Service and employers, underlining its preventive and methodological significance in averting breaches of labour law. She noted its positive impact on fostering a culture of self‑assessment among employers.
T. Aliyev emphasized the importance of such meetings for the private sector and called for future collaboration between the public and private spheres.
Employers were then given a detailed presentation on the project’s objectives, scope of activities and the opportunities it offers to enterprises.
In conclusion, company representatives had their questions answered and exchanged views on practical matters relating to labour legislation.
The meeting was lauded as a valuable platform in terms of strengthening cooperation between the state and private sector.
