The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population hosted a meeting with member companies of Azerbaijan-Turkiye Business Association (ATBA) as part of the “DOST Müfəttiş” (DOST Inspector) initiative.
The session was attended by Elnur Safarli, Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory, Narmin Mirzayeva, Deputy Head of the State Labour Inspection Service under the Ministry, Mursal Rustamov, Chairman of ATBA’s Board of Directors and representatives from numerous member companies.
The participants were briefed on the joint “DOST Inspector” project, implemented by the State Labour Inspection Service and the National Observatory, which to date has reached over 5,000 employees.
In its initial phase, the project has affected significant improvements across twelve enterprises, five in the public sector and seven in the private, focusing on the regulation of labour relations, the promotion of preventive occupational safety measures, and the adoption of modern human resource management practices.
Support was provided to the organisations in overcoming challenges encountered in the implementation of the “Labour and Employment” subsystem (ƏMAS). In addition, a comprehensive evaluation of the current situation in labour relations, occupational safety, and human resources was conducted, and identified deficiencies were addressed through tailored training sessions and consultations.
The project’s international stature was underlined by its receipt of three distinguished awards over the past year.
By introducing new and innovative approaches to the refinement of labour relations, occupational safety, and human resource management, the “DOST Inspector” project makes a vital contribution to these fields within our country.
