The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, recently hosted a meeting with Walid Madhoun, a representative of the World Bank. The discussion focused on ongoing initiatives within the framework of the Azerbaijan Employment Support Project (AESP), a joint venture between the Ministry and the World Bank.
During the meeting, the National Observatory provided detailed information about its core activities, including monitoring, analysis, and projections in the areas of labour, employment, and social protection. The Observatory also highlighted its role in implemented projects and international cooperation.
One of the key priorities of the project ‘Support to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population in fostering decent job opportunities in Azerbaijan’ is to strengthen the institutional capacity of the National Observatory. Both parties shared ideas on potential joint efforts to strengthen this area.
