The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs of Azerbaijan will collaborate with the National Labour Observatory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to strengthen labour market research and analysis.
During the Global Labour Market Conference in Riyadh, Elnur Safarli, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan’s National Observatory under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, met with officials from the National Labour Observatory under the Human Resources Development Fund of Saudi Arabia.
Discussions focused on Azerbaijan’s recent reforms in labour, employment, and social protection, highlighting the country’s achievements in these areas. The Azerbaijani side also shared insights into its efforts to develop an advanced monitoring, analysis, and forecasting system to support effective decision-making in labour and social policies.
Both sides exchanged information on their research initiatives, including labour market assessments, strategic employment planning, and workforce development trends. Representatives from the Saudi Observatory later outlined their ongoing projects aimed at improving labour market dynamics.
The meeting underscored the importance of fostering close ties between the two institutions, emphasizing the benefits of experience sharing and collaboration. Both parties explored potential areas for future cooperation to enhance labour market policies and workforce development.
