The National Observatory on Labor Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted a meeting of the officials of the State Agencies for Science and Higher Education, Vocational Education, Preschool and General Education, and the Educational Student Loan Fund under the Ministry of Science and Education.
The meeting focused on the discussion of the results of the analysis conducted by the Observatory on the educational levels in labor market, which form the current and future supply in the labor market.
During the session, the Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory, Elnur Safarli, disclosed the outcomes of a comprehensive analysis encompassing over 569,000 students in various fields and more than 121,000 graduates. This analysis also covers groups of educational specialties, which are high and low employment indicators on bachelor's and master's degrees.
The findings of this analysis are expected to allow policymakers to identify the priority areas within the labor market.
Additionally, the meeting featured a presentation of a survey report conducted among 558 respondents from 9-11th grade students in 7 cities and districts of Azerbaijan and 1,773 students from 8 universities in Baku and Sumgayit.
