A discussion on labour market and social protection reforms took place at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, with the delegation led by Elnur Safarli, Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Nakhchivan, Acting Minister Farid Baghirzada, underscored the ongoing positive trends in the country’s labour market and emphasized the importance of close coordination with the National Observatory to further enhance labour market development.
The significance of the National Observatory’s works in areas such as survey-monitoring, analysis, research, evaluation, and training was also acknowledged. Safarli highlighted the need for a systematic analysis of the labour market in Nakhchivan, stating that the results would be crucial for strategic planning. He further affirmed that the Observatory would work on strengthening cooperation in the future.
The meeting concluded with an agreement on the preparation of a joint action plan to define the scale and scope of future work. The current state of the labour market, future directions in social protection policy, and opportunities for collaboration between the two institutions were also key topics of discussion.
