A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs and Odlar Yurdu University to establish joint cooperation.
The document was signed by Elnur Safarli, Chairperson of the Board of the National Observatory, and Professor Samir Valiyev, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the University Governing Council.
During the signing ceremony, Mr. Safarli highlighted the rapidly evolving trends in the labour market and emphasised the importance of collaboration with universities and research institutions. He noted that the analyses conducted by the National Observatory help support young people’s integration into the labour market and align their knowledge and skills with practical demands.
In his remarks, Professor Ahmad Valiyev, the Rector of Odlar Yurdu University, spoke about the university’s core principles. He underlined the institution’s commitment to innovation, the development of practical skills, and responsiveness to labour market challenges as key strategic priorities.
Professor Samir Valiyev, expressing his appreciation for the collaboration, noted that the university’s academic staff would actively participate in the joint projects outlined in the agreement. He added that practical training sessions would be organised to enable students to better understand the realities of the labour market.
The MoU sets out a shared objective to enhance the professional skills of young people entering the workforce, support their adaptation to real working environment, and expand the application of academic research. The cooperation will be based on joint seminars, internship programmes, and analytical studies.
The meeting also included an exchange of ideas regarding upcoming joint initiatives.
