The delegation of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs is currently on a visit to Türkiye, aiming to familiarize themselves with the practices of this country in employment and social protection. As part of their itinerary, the delegation paid visits to key institutions such as the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) and the Social Security Institution (SGK), where they gained insights into the operational frameworks of these organizations.
Elnur Safarli, the Chairman of the Managing Board of the National Observatory, highlighted the growing bilateral relations between the two countries in labour-related fields. He underlined the significance of such exchanges in fostering cooperation and opening avenues for collaboration.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the participants to receive comprehensive briefings on the National Observatory's activities, including its surveys, analyses, and forecasts on various aspects such as the labour market, employment, social protection, and demography. The DOST Mufattish project was also mentioned at the meeting.
Discussions during the meetings centred on strategies for measuring and addressing informal employment. The parties reached an agreement to organize joint initiatives aimed at facilitating the exchange of experience between the institutions.
