National Observatory hosted a meeting with members of Public Council

The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population hosted a meeting with the members of the Public Council under the Ministry.

Elnur Safarli, the Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory provided information about the activities of the National Observatory, the work done in the fields of analysis and research. The results of the research conducted in the areas of demography, labour market, analysis and preparation of forecasts, and new projects of the institution were also brought to attention.

Furthermore, the surveys carried out by the Observatory and their results were mentioned. It was briefed that the surveys were conducted regarding the choice of specialties by students of higher educational institutions, and specialties and professions preferred by students of secondary schools. In addition, it was emphasized that the main factors influencing students' decisions and the professional directions that students prefer while choosing an occupation had been determined.

Elshad Mammadov, the Chairman of the Public Council, and other members of the Council expressed their opinions and proposals. An exchange of views on further cooperation were discussed between the parties.
