A meeting was recently held between the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan, and Baku State University (BSU) to discuss the employment status of the University’s graduates.
Elnur Safarli, Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory, revealed that the analysis was based on educational data from 47,199 BSU students, 23,978 graduates, and employment data from 12,500 individuals. The results provided valuable insights into the employment outcomes of the University’s alumni.
The analysis identified the top 15 specialities with the highest employment rates, with Economics and Management, as well as Agriculture, leading the list. Graduates from Geology, Hydrometeorology, and Management were found to have the highest employment rates overall.
Additionally, the analysis included a comparison of employment rates by the university and its Gazakh branch, providing insights into trends in student numbers and average salary figures across different fields.
BSU Rector Elchin Babayev praised the findings as a crucial step toward enhancing the successful integration of graduates into the labour market. He emphasized that the results would inform the development of various programs aimed at helping students transition more smoothly into their professional careers.
