A new session of the "Social Journalism" training program for media professionals was recently held at the Training and Development Centre of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan.
Journalists from 17 media outlets attended the session, which centred on "Services Provided in the Field of Targeted Social Assistance." The session addressed a range of key questions, including eligibility for targeted social assistance, common reasons for application refusals, the need criterion, the role of unemployment status, and the impact of vehicle ownership on the assistance assignment.
To ensure comprehension, a workshop was conducted to gauge participants' understanding of the subject matter. The session concluded with the presentation of certificates to all attendees.
The primary goal of the "Social Journalism" training is to equip media professionals with in-depth knowledge of social protection topics, improve their reporting, and foster effective collaboration between media representatives and relevant social protection bodies.
