On the occasion of National Press Day, media professionals gathered at the Training and Development Centre of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, for a specialized "Social Journalism" training session.
The training, dedicated to the theme "The Right to Leave," provided journalists from 14 different media organizations with detailed insights into various types of work leave, including social, educational, and unpaid leave. Participants also received updates on recent innovations within the Labour and Employment Subsystem (EMAS). Media inquiries regarding these developments were addressed comprehensively during the event.
Following the training session on "Social Journalism," a workshop was conducted to assess participant mastery of the subject matter. Attendees completed test tasks covering the topic, and subsequently crafted press releases on these topics.
Certificates were awarded to participants at the end of the training.
The training aimed to provide comprehensive information to media representatives on social protection issues, enhance professionalism in reporting on these matters, deepen subject expertise, and foster productive collaboration with the media.
