Organized by the National Observatory on Labor Market and Social Protection Issues under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, an event was held within the framework of the Human Rights Month at the DOST Agency.
At the event attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Office of the Ombudsman, and the members of the Board of the National Observatory, it was emphasized that the provision of human rights is one of the main directions of the state policy in Azerbaijan.
The system of rights in the field of labor, employment and social protection of our country was discussed. It was emphasized that the national legislation in this field is constantly improved based on progressive approaches. In recent years, important steps taken in the direction of strengthening the social protection of the population, increasing care for vulnerable groups, and new legislative acts have been drawn up within the framework of radical social reforms.
Then a training on "International human rights" was held. The participants were informed about the concept of human rights, their essence, their place in international law, historical development dynamics, classification according to various criteria, the catalog of human rights and freedoms, and international documents defining their individual types.
The work done and the reforms carried out in the field of human rights in Azerbaijan, especially in the direction of the implementation of labor and social rights, were mentioned.
