The training on Social Journalism, conducted by the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, has ended.
5-day training sessions organized at the training center of the National Observatory have been attended by the representatives of 13 media organizations.
Professional and experienced staff working in the ministerial institutions have given the media workers information about the services provided in the fields of labour, employment, social protection, social services, disability and rehabilitation, and reforms carried out in these fields.
Moreover, innovations implemented, digital technologies used in these areas, as well as upcoming social goals have been brought to the participants’ attention. Information on the relevant terminology has also been provided. Besides, the questions asked by the media representatives have been answered.
At the end of the training course, Elnur Safarli, the Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory, met with the media representatives. During his speech in the meeting he emphasized the importance of the training on social journalism for the media.
It was noted that the aim of the training is to raise the media representatives’ awareness on social spheres, as well as to increase their level of professionalism in these fields, improve their area of expertise, and establish effective collaboration with the media.
At the end, the participants of the training were awarded certificates.
