Survey and Monitoring Center - it serves as a basis for the implementation of the evaluation of the current and prospective state of the measures and social programs implemented in the directions of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the study of development trends, and the organization of monitoring and surveys with these goals.

Survey and Monitoring Center labor market, identification of the need for priority professions, possibilities of transition from education to the labor market, demography, social needs of the society, thinking and attitudes towards important social issues, measuring the satisfaction of the population with social services, evaluation of mechanisms and services in the social protection policy, their results and fulfills the task of analysis.

The Center conducts research in the following areas in order to support decision-makers on important social protection, employment and demographic issues:

• Calculation of important socio-economic indicators in the field of employment;
• Forecasting demand and supply for professions and specialties in the labor market;
• Monitoring the supply and demand of jobs and skills in the labor market;
• Monitoring the compatibility of education with the labor market;
• Monitoring of demographic situation and trends;
• Study of the social needs of the society;
• Studying attitudes and thoughts about important social issues;
• Monitoring lifestyle, behaviors and trends in society;
• Measurement of citizen satisfaction in the field of social services;
• Assessment of the effectiveness of social programs.

The target population in these research directions includes the following persons or organizations, depending on the purpose of evaluation and analysis in the relevant field:

During the center's activity - it follows international research standards in sample formation, data collection and data analysis. Depending on the nature of the required information, one or more of the following quantitative and qualitative methods are used in the conducted research:

Data collection is carried out in accordance with international survey standards, using CATI and CAPI technologies, as well as MSS (Examination-Question System), a unique software of the National Observatory. SPSS, R, Python and SQL are used for quantitative data analysis, and Nvivo software and programming languages are used for qualitative analysis. The center focuses on collecting data directly from the respondent through surveys and other research methods. Data are collected through both one-time and repeated surveys. In this regard, most of the organized surveys are conducted in the form of 3-month, 6-month or 1-year monitoring, taking into account the changing conditions.
