The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs has been cooperating with Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) since 2022. The memorandum on joint cooperation signed between the institutions implies the cooperation in the area of joint organization and implementation of the following activities:
- Preparation of platform for joint cooperation and dialogue to ensure that the employees of the National Observatory could benefit from the scientific, educational-innovative infrastructure of the university and to enhance collaboration in this field;
- Identify professional researchers from the university, take actions to use their knowledge, skills and experience, benefit from their effective proposals in relation to the activities of the National Observatory;
- Ensure participation of graduate and undergraduate students of the university in relevant internship programmes, practical experience, including seminars and trainings, with the involvement of the employees of the National Observatory in order to provide methodological assistance in conducting various scientific and practical analyses and research work;
- Conduct study, research and analysis in relevant fields on the basis of cooperation with the establishments of the University, take steps for joint call to local and international scientific world using the opportunities of the Parties in this context;
- Collaborate in the area of expanding the implementation of innovations and scientific-research work in the activities of the National Observatory, the search for innovative and high-tech solutions in appropriate fields and the preparation of proposals;
- Promote activities of state and public importance in relevant fields among youngsters, and conduct joint events related to the introduction of a system of public participation in this area within the framework of cooperation with the university;
- Organize masterclasses for the students in various areas of activity of state and public importance in relevant fields, joint lectures on different specific topics in relevant areas by the management and specialists of the National Observatory;
- Ensure invitation of the university’s specialists as trainers for trainings in appropriate fields;
- Mutual participation in the conferences, symposiums and other similar events held by Parties and organisation of relevant lectures and exchange of experience with the involvement of the local and international experts invited;
- Implement joint projects to develop relations between the University and the National Observatory;
- Attract funding as a one-time grant from international organizations and foundations, apply for grant projects and act jointly to attract other financial resources not prohibited by law, make joint proposals to relevant public and private financial institutions;
- Prepare and submit joint proposals to implement innovations and ensure effective governance-related decisions in relevant areas within the framework of cooperation;
- Organize joint scientific conferences, symposiums and other similar events, carry out joint scientific-practical and mass publications in relevant fields;
- Adaptation of graduates to the labour market and the analysis of current situation in this field, carrying out joint activities to prepare relevant proposals for appropriate improvements in this area;
- Take joint measures for supplementary education and improvement of expertise of the employees of the Parties under the existing circumstances;
- On account of the scientific and technical potential and infrastructure of the university, to provide full assistance to the National Observatory in the assessment of actual situation in labour market and social protection, study and monitoring of development trends and preparation of analysis and projections in relevant areas.
- Other agreed activities and forms of cooperation not prohibited by law.
