The event dedicated to the three-year anniversary of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population was held at the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity.
The executives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, higher education institutions, Azerbaijan Turkey Business Association (ATBA), as well as the representatives of research centres took part in the event.
During the event, Vusal Nasirli, the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, emphasized the importance of the National Observatory, which was established as a public legal entity under the Ministry in accordance with the relevant Decree of the President Ilham Aliyev, in terms of the process of implementation of social reforms.
The Deputy Minister pointed out that the institution had conducted targeted work with regards to the assessment of the actual situation on labour market and social protection, study and monitoring of development trends and preparation of analysis and projections in order to ensure effective governance-related decisions.
In addition, V.Nasirli drew attention to the important role of the National Observatory as a training centre of the Ministry in the process of training professional specialists and the preparation of training programs.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory Elnur Safarli, spoke about the activities of the entity in the area of creating an advanced monitoring, analysis and projection system in such areas as labour, employment and social protection. Information about the research conducted by the institution was provided. It was also noted that the services such as employee work effectiveness assessment, as well as measurement and optimization of the quality of provided services were on the process.
Moreover, the trainings held at the Observatory were mentioned. It was also emphasized that as being the centre for surveys processing, the institution conducted market research for new services, surveys on satisfaction of citizens and employees.
It was underlined that the National Observatory aims to become one of the leading think tanks in the region as an analytical and research center.
The Chairman of ATBA Jemal Yaygin and visually impaired professor Elnur Eyvazov were the honorary guests of the event.
The event was concluded with a concert program consisting of performances by people with disabilities studying at musical education courses at the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity.
