A meeting was held with the World Bank representative at the National Observatory

The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population hosted a meeting with the representative of the World Bank Walid Madhoun.

The National Observatory’s activities were discussed in the meeting held within the framework of the project ‘Support for employment in Azerbaijan’ which is jointly implemented by the Ministry and the World Bank.

Information was provided on the activities of the institution in the spheres as monitoring, analysis, and projection in the fields of labour, employment, social protection, implemented projects, and international cooperation.

It was emphasized that one of the priorities of the project ‘Support to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population in fostering decent job opportunities in Azerbaijan’ is to reinforce the institutional capacity of the National Observatory. Furthermore, the parties exchanged views on the possible joint work to be done in this direction.
