The National Observatory is the first institution in the South Caucasus to achieve the ISO 20252:2019 standard in survey and research practices.
Today marks five years since the establishment of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population. Established by Presidential Decree on July 4, 2019, the Observatory has emerged as a pioneering force in the South Caucasus region.
Dedicated to monitoring, analysing, and forecasting trends in labour, employment, social protection, and demography, the Observatory has conducted extensive surveys involving over 11,000 respondents across the country. These surveys have covered 15 critical topics, providing invaluable data for strategic decision-making.
A standout achievement is its adherence to the ISO 20252:2019 standard, making it the first institution in the South Caucasus to achieve this distinction in survey and research practices. Additionally, the Observatory has been recognized with 5 international ISO certificates across various domains.
Moreover, the National Observatory serves as a cornerstone for training programs to enhance the professionalism of specialists in labour, employment, and social protection fields. It conducts assessments of labour relations and human resources in workplaces, offering training, consultations, and support to enterprises in implementing the Labour and Employment Subsystem.
Through robust partnerships with international and local centres and higher education institutions, the Observatory aspires to cement its position as a leading think tank in the region, driving forward insights and innovations in labour market dynamics.
