The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, operating under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organized 276 training sessions in 2024, benefiting over 6,000 individuals from the Ministry and its affiliated institutions, as well as private and public sectors.
The training covered a wide range of 71 topics, including functional and soft skills and Information Technology (IT). The National Observatory’s Training and Development Centre, serving as the Ministry’s training base, designs and implements training programs to enhance the professionalism of specialists within the Ministry’s system.
Additionally, the Observatory continued its focus on enhancing media literacy by hosting seven Social Journalism training sessions, which have now reached over 160 Ministry services. These yearly programs are designed to help media representatives strengthen their social awareness and skills.
Moreover, as part of the "DOST Inspector" initiative, a joint effort with the State Labour Inspectorate Service, an assessment of labour relations and human resources practices in local enterprises has been completed. Based on the findings, specialized training and consultations have been organized to address key areas of concern.
In recognition of its efforts, the National Observatory received three ISO certifications in 2024 for the organization and implementation of training: ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 10015:2019 (Competence Management and People Development), and ISO 29993:2017 (Learning Services Outside Formal Education).
