National Observatory starts cooperation with Innovation and Digital Development Agency

The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population hosted a meeting with the representatives of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The participants were informed about the activities of the National Observatory. It was stated that the National Observatory conducts analysis and prepares projections on labour market and social protection areas in order to ensure effective governance-related decisions in the said areas. The institution makes proposals regarding the preparation of specialists and curriculum development and acts in their implementation as a training base of the Ministry. The activities of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency were also briefed in the meeting. It was emphasized that the Agency contributes to the sustainable development and competitiveness of the country’s ICT field and provides access to training and career opportunities in this area. The Agency’s representatives were introduced to the results of a study on the topic ‘Analysis of vacancy announcements in the labour market in Azerbaijan’ conducted by the National Observatory. Furthermore, the Agency and the National Observatory discussed the possibilities of cooperation on conducting surveys, analysing the labour market in this field in order to identify ICT specialists in regions and other relevant areas.
