He was born in 1973 in the Goycha region of Western Azerbaijan.
Assoc.prof. Elchin Suleymanov received a bachelor's degree in Finance from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in Dokuz Eylul University, Republic of Türkiye, in 1992-1997.
In 1998-2000, he completed a master’s degree in “Business Administration” in the Institute of National Economy Management under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In 2015 he received a doctorate in Economics.
In 2018, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor of Finance by the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He worked as a lecturer, head of department and vice-rector at various higher educational institutions between 1996-2023.
His articles have been published in various international journals with high impact factor, and he is the author of books, monographs and textbooks.
Since January 2024, he has been working as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Observatory.
He is married and has 2 children.
